Realife Church, by God’s grace is entering into a season of multiplication. We thank God for the increase of 2015, but we are now poised for and on the threshold of, multiplication.
Multiplication is accelerated addition. Multiplication is having it sooner, arriving faster, leaping higher and understanding more quickly. Multiplication bypasses waiting, it is all at once and suddenly.
The mathematical sign for multiplication is ‘X’. This tells us by how many times the original number is multiplied. E.g. 3 x 5 = 15. However, God has promised to be the multiplication factor in our increase and enlargement. So He becomes our X-factor.
In Isaiah 54:1-5, God’s promise “to barren people who will sing and shout for joy, and get ready for increase”, is multiplication by another name. “…for your maker is your husband, the Lord God almighty is His name. The Holy One of Israel is your redeemer. He is called the God of all the earth.” (Isaiah 54:5) Therefore, instead …. X 5, it’s ….. X God!
The book of Acts introduces us to what multiplication looks like. Jesus said, “…I will build my church…” (Matthew 16:18) and indeed he is still building His church. We have the privilege to join in His mission, by the multiplication of disciples in the context of Realife church and beyond, as He opens doors of opportunity.
We are excited and looking forward to engaging with and following through on Jesus’ injunction in Acts 1:8, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Multiplication follows diligent obedience. In 2016, we welcome the adventure of faithfully following Jesus in being disciples and making disciples.
